THE ARROGANCE OF TITLES, THE BANKRUPTCY OF MINDS
Let’s stop the confusion.
Let’s stop the collective blindness.
Let’s stop worshipping diplomas as if pieces of paper could manufacture intelligence.
You go to school. You spend seven years studying medicine. They hand you a certificate and suddenly bam now you are a doctor. Very well.
But that does not make you an intellectual.
You study law for five years. They give you your degree and call you a jurist. Very well.
But that does not make you an intellectual.
You complete five years of civil engineering, four years of international relations, four years of sociology, three years of economics, five years of psychology… You walk out with a shiny degree and an official title. Very well.
But that diploma does not give you a mind.
You can even continue with a two-year master’s, a five-year doctorate, and research aiming for the Moon or Mars. Your diplomas have never made you an intellectual.
Because intellect is not a classroom.
It is not a syllabus.
It is not a thesis.
It is not a professor.
An intellectual is not a diploma holder.
A diploma holder is not an intellectual.
An intellectual is someone who uses critical thinking.
Someone who thinks independently even when everyone else is repeating the same ideas.
Someone who analyzes instead of getting angry.
Someone who observes instead of reacting.
Someone who looks for the root of the problem, not the surface or the appearance.
An intellectual is someone who frees themselves from the invisible chains that modern society places inside our minds not someone who collects certificates to impress an empty audience.
But today we live in a grand carnival of illusions.
Arrogant, ignorant, and self-important graduates believe they are the elite.
They confuse a defended thesis with developed thought.
They confuse repetition with reflection.
They confuse grades with consciousness.
The truth?
Most simply repeat like well-dressed parrots what they learned mechanically.
They recite.
They imitate.
They mimic.
They copy.
And they apply.
But they do not understand.
Modern schooling does not produce intellectuals.
It manufactures graduates.
Because the system has no interest in creating free minds.
An intellectual questions.
An intellectual disturbs.
An intellectual challenges.
The system wants executors, not awakened thinkers.
And yet the truth remains undeniable:
One can be a great intellectual without ever setting foot in a university.
One can be a genius with no diploma.
One can be free without any title.
A diploma is administrative.
An intellectual is existential.
A diploma classifies you.
Intellect elevates you.
A diploma identifies you.
Intellect liberates you.
Remember this:
An intellectual is one thing.
A graduate is another.
Confusing the two is an insult to thought.
