ChatGPT adds \u201creddit\u201d to search queries when <a href=\"https:\/\/www.practicalecommerce.com\/how-genai-platforms-generate-answers\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">seeking answers<\/a> to users\u2019 prompts, according to the Profound study.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_1564134\" style=\"width: 580px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\">\n<p id=\"caption-attachment-1564134\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Reddit\u2019s content is the leading source of answers on ChatGPT, per a Profound study.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h3>Reputation<\/h3>\n<p>Yet most businesses have no strategy for managing their Reddit reputation. Plenty of agencies peddle quick fixes, such as thread removal and fake customer reviews.<\/p>\n<p>But shortcuts won\u2019t work for Reddit.<\/p>\n<p>Removing negative threads is ineffective because they are already in the training data and thus affect LLMs\u2019 overall sentiment.<\/p>\n<p>Misrepresenting that sentiment through paid positive reviews and threads will not help, as Reddit\u2019s human staff moderates all subreddits. Artificial or sponsored posts are easy to detect and often deleted. Excessive fakes can lead moderators to flag a brand as a spammer.<\/p>\n<h3>How to Manage<\/h3>\n<p>Building visibility and trust on Reddit is now crucial. Here\u2019s how.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Create a Reddit business account.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Do not post or comment right away. Take time to read and understand target subreddits and how to contribute meaningfully.
