Touch the soil. Observe the flow of water. Listen to the workers.<br \/>\nYou will learn things no book will ever teach you.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>4\ufe0f\u20e3 Engineers Are Leaders Do Not Be Afraid to Decide<\/h2>\n<p>A good engineer is not just someone who knows calculations; it is someone who can lead a team, make the right decisions, and keep a project on track even under pressure.<\/p>\n<p>You will face:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>budget pressure<\/li>\n<li>time pressure<\/li>\n<li>pressure from people who do not understand the technical realities<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>But remember:<br \/>\n<strong>When you decide, you are responsible for people\u2019s safety and future.<\/strong><br \/>\nChoose the honest, solid, and principled decision \u2014 even when it is not popular.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>5\ufe0f\u20e3 Engineers Build Lives Not Just Structures<\/h2>\n<p>A project is not just a bridge, a road, or a drainage channel.<br \/>\nIt is the life of the people who use it.<\/p>\n<p>I have seen communities transformed by a properly designed drainage system.<br \/>\nI have seen children reach school safely thanks to a road built the right way.<\/p>\n<p>Young engineer: your work impacts generations you may never meet.<br \/>\n<strong>Build with vision. Build with respect. Build for people not just for paperwork.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If I could give one single piece of advice today, it would be this:<br \/>\n<strong>Engineers do not build with cement.
