{"id":77248,"date":"2025-12-04T15:59:18","date_gmt":"2025-12-04T15:59:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dralysstore.com\/blog\/?p=77248"},"modified":"2025-12-04T15:59:18","modified_gmt":"2025-12-04T15:59:18","slug":"nike-reshapes-c-suite-to-speed-digital-shift","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dralysstore.com\/blog\/nike-reshapes-c-suite-to-speed-digital-shift\/","title":{"rendered":"Nike reshapes C-suite to speed digital shift"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p data-start=\"73\" data-end=\"121\">Nike Inc. is restructuring its senior leadership team as the company works to simplify decision-making, strengthen digital capabilities and regain momentum in key markets.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"328\" data-end=\"486\">In a note to employees, CEO Elliott Hill said the company designed the changes to \u201cremove layers\u201d and improve execution under Nike\u2019s \u201cWin Now\u201d strategy.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"488\" data-end=\"871\">At the center of the overhaul is an executive vice president and chief operating officer (COO) role that Nike has newly created. Venkatesh \u201cVenky\u201d Alagirisamy, currently chief supply chain officer, will step into the position Dec. 8. He will oversee technology along with supply chain, planning, operations, manufacturing and sustainability \u2014 consolidating end-to-end operations under one leader.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.digitalcommerce360.com\/article\/nike-digital-sales\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Nike is No. 13<\/a> in the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.digitalcommerce360.com\/product\/top-2000-ecommerce-database\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Top 2000<\/a>. The database is Digital Commerce 360\u2019s ranking of the largest North American online retailers by their annual ecommerce sales. In the database, Nike is the highest-ranking\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.digitalcommerce360.com\/apparel-ecommerce-statistics\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Apparel &amp; Accessories<\/a>\u00a0retailer.<\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"488\" data-end=\"871\">Nike\u2019s new chief operating officer role changes C-suite, leadership team structure<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"873\" data-end=\"1001\">Hill said Nike intends for the move to better integrate digital tools across how the retailer designs, makes, distributes and sells products.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1003\" data-end=\"1299\">The reshuffling eliminates two positions from the Nike senior leadership team. Muge Dogan, chief technology officer, will leave the company as it removes the chief technology officer (CTO) role. Craig Williams, executive vice president and chief commercial officer, is also departing as Nike dissolves the chief commercial officer (CCO) title.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1301\" data-end=\"1540\">To sharpen regional responsiveness, Nike is elevating its geography leaders to report directly to Hill.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1301\" data-end=\"1540\">Those reporting to him are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li data-start=\"1301\" data-end=\"1540\">Angela Dong (Greater China)<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1301\" data-end=\"1540\">Carl Grebert (EMEA)<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1301\" data-end=\"1540\">Tom Peddie (North America)<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1301\" data-end=\"1540\">Cathy Sparks (Asia Pacific\/Latin America)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"1542\" data-end=\"1834\">The reorganization also shifts global sales and Nike Direct \u2014 spanning digital commerce and retail stores \u2014 under EVP and chief financial officer (CFO) Matt Friend. Hill said aligning commercial operations with strategy and capital allocation ensures consumer insights more directly guide investment decisions.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1836\" data-end=\"1976\">\u201cThis move is about growth and offense \u2014 giving Sales and Nike Direct an even stronger voice in how we set strategy and invest,\u201d Hill wrote.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1978\" data-end=\"2231\">The changes extend Nike\u2019s broader cost-reduction and operational streamlining efforts following uneven performance and intensifying competition across both sport and lifestyle categories.
