{"id":76959,"date":"2025-11-28T03:57:37","date_gmt":"2025-11-28T03:57:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dralysstore.com\/blog\/?p=76959"},"modified":"2025-11-28T03:57:37","modified_gmt":"2025-11-28T03:57:37","slug":"bed-bath-beyond-to-acquire-the-brand-house-collective","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dralysstore.com\/blog\/bed-bath-beyond-to-acquire-the-brand-house-collective\/","title":{"rendered":"Bed Bath &#038; Beyond to acquire The Brand House Collective"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p>The shifting stable of brands associated with the Bed Bath &amp; Beyond brand added one more change with a new agreement to acquire <a href=\"https:\/\/www.digitalcommerce360.com\/2025\/06\/19\/kirklands-rebrands-to-brand-house-collective-beyond\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Brand House Collective, previously known as Kirkland\u2019s<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The evolution of the relationship between Bed Bath &amp; Beyond and The Brand House Collective reached a new milestone as the two companies announced their definitive merger agreement on Nov. 24. Under the terms, Bed Bath &amp; Beyond will acquire The Brand House Collective with a transaction valued at approximately $26.8 million.<\/p>\n<p>That follows a deal announced in May wherein <a href=\"https:\/\/www.digitalcommerce360.com\/2025\/05\/13\/beyond-deal-acquire-kirklands-intellectual-property\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Beyond would acquire Kirkland\u2019s<\/a> intellectual property for $5.2 million. That deal preceded Kirkland\u2019s rebrand to The Brand House Collective.<\/p>\n<p>Bed Bath &amp; Beyond Inc. ranks No. 71 in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.digitalcommerce360.com\/product\/top-2000-ecommerce-database\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Top 2000 Database<\/a>. The database is Digital Commerce 360\u2019s ranking of North America\u2019s largest online retailers by their annual web sales. It tracks historical web sales, average order value, conversion rate and more. Digital Commerce 360 projects Bed Bath &amp; Beyond Inc.\u2019s total 2025 ecommerce sales to reach about $919.28 million.<\/p>\n<h2>Why Bed Bath &amp; Beyond is acquiring The Brand House Collective<\/h2>\n<p>\u201cThis acquisition is a big step in building a profitable, growth-oriented Everything Home company,\u201d said Marcus Lemonis, executive chairman at Bed Bath &amp; Beyond. \u201cThe power of this deal comes from a more efficient and productive engagement with the consumer, while extracting over $20 million in duplicate costs.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Lemonis sees value in the company\u2019s team, as well as its business.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe most valuable asset of this transaction is the talent and leadership that comes with it, giving our historical marketplace business a stronger product and consumer experience focus,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>The journey since <a href=\"https:\/\/www.digitalcommerce360.com\/2023\/04\/23\/bed-bath-bankrupt-bbby-files-for-chapter-11-bankruptcy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bed Bath &amp; Beyond filed for bankruptcy<\/a> in 2023 has been complicated. The category-killer strip mall mainstay that sold everything from towels to automatic onion slicers filed for Chapter 11 that April. That same year, Overstock.com paid $21.5 million for the bankrupt retailer\u2019s brand name and intellectual property assets. Overstock then rebranded itself as Beyond Inc. (and later <a href=\"https:\/\/www.digitalcommerce360.com\/2025\/08\/18\/beyond-inc-changing-name-rebranding-bed-bath-beyond\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bed Bath &amp; Beyond Inc.)<\/a> and shuttered the Overstock.com website \u2014 only to bring it back in 2024, with Lemonis calling the shutdown a \u201cfatal mistake.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Then, in 2024, the then-named Beyond Inc. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.digitalcommerce360.com\/2024\/10\/23\/kirklands-and-beyond-partner-to-pave-bed-bath-beyonds-return-to-physical-stores\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">began partnering with Kirkland\u2019s<\/a> for the revival of Beyond\u2019s physical stores.<\/p>\n<h2>What the Brand House Collective deal means<\/h2>\n<p>The two companies lauded this week\u2019s deal (which includes 40 store closures that operate under the Brand House Collective\/Kirkland\u2019s name) as one that will allow them to double down on omnichannel commerce. Amy Sullivan, who had been CEO at Kirkland\u2019s, is expected to serve as chief executive officer of the newly organized division, Beyond Retail Group, overseeing all omnichannel retail operations, including merchandising, stores, digital commerce and customer experience across Bed Bath &amp; Beyond\u2019s brands.
