{"id":76680,"date":"2025-11-22T19:59:08","date_gmt":"2025-11-22T19:59:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dralysstore.com\/blog\/?p=76680"},"modified":"2025-11-22T19:59:08","modified_gmt":"2025-11-22T19:59:08","slug":"meta-wants-to-get-into-the-electricity-trading-business","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dralysstore.com\/blog\/meta-wants-to-get-into-the-electricity-trading-business\/","title":{"rendered":"Meta wants to get into the electricity trading business"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p id=\"speakable-summary\" class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In order to accelerate the construction of new power plants needed to provide energy for its data centers, Meta is looking to get into the business of trading electricity.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2025-11-21\/meta-enters-power-trading-to-support-ai-data-centers\" target=\"_blank\">Bloomberg reports<\/a> that both Meta and Microsoft are asking for federal approval to trade power (Apple has already received this approval).
